The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACSPSM) will host the 2005 World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy in Edinburgh, Scotland on November 11-12. The Congress commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Royal College of Surgeons. Co-sponsored by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine, the Congress will be held at the historic home of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in the Queen Mother Conference Centre. The Congress theme, soft tissue injuries, has a number of noted lecturers from Great Britain and Europe. Keynote speakers Glenn Hunter will present a lecture on hamstring injury research while Professor Jerog Jerosch will discuss the sensorimotor function of the upper limb and should instability. Congress delegates may also attend BASEM lectures about pediatric injuries.
